NEW ERA CLASSES:
KETTLEBELLS - Kettlebells are a great tool in all areas of fitness. This dedicated class to the kettlebell teaches you many exercises, working at a medium to high intensity. This classes is very effective at growing and developing lean muscle, and is great for burning fat.
KEEP FIT - Our keep fit class is aimed at those who are over 50 years old, although all ages welcome. Keep fit is a gentle class working at a low intensity, and is aimed at those who have never/haven't done much fitness before, are returning to exercise after a long time, or for those who enjoy gentle exercise in a fun and social environment. The majority of our members to this class stay for tea (and cake...shhh!) after each class.
STUDENT ONLY WORKOUT- A randomised workout each week. This class can range from Kettlebells one week to Circuits the next. A mixture of cardio and weight based exercises, creating a fun but challenging workout for all! Only £1.50 drop ins for non members!!
BOX BLAST - Interval training using gloves, pads and boxing stands. Working in pairs or individually, you'll definitely get a sweat on the feel the burn is this fast paced workout. A great stress buster too!
PILATES BARRE- Pilates Barre is a combination of Pilates and Ballet, focusing on isometric strength. This class is great for improving your pelvic floor and flexibility, as well as improving posture and bone density.
GYM TEAM - A 45 minute gym based, student lead classes using our gym rooms. You lead the way as you tell our instructors what you would like to improve, and we help and show you how to do it. Whether you want to get stronger, or leaner, bigger, smaller, faster etc, we have the knowledge to help you plan your workouts effectively.
CIRCUITS - The complete whole body workout. From high intensity exercises such as sprinting, to subtle core work such as balance boards, our Thursday Circuits introduces new challenging exercises weekly to keep the mind and body guessing. Full body benefits including improving the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, burning lots of calories, improving the strength, power, and flexibility of our muscles, and our co-ordination.
Functional Fitness - A functional workout that uses everyday movements to challenge us and make us fitter and stronger. Usually taught in a circuit format, exercises can be tailored for individual needs
HIIT & ABS - A high intensity class that gives the whole body a thorough workout! From burpees to mountain climbers, crunches to leg raises, this class leaves everyone walking out with a great sweat! One of if not THE BEST class for burning calories and fat, all day long!!
YOGA - A fun and dynamic yoga class suitable for all ages. Vinyasa is a flowing style of yoga where one posture flows to the next. Yoga not only helps us relax and improve our flexibility and posture, it also helps develop muscular strength.
MASH UP - A different workout every Saturday. Mash up is what it says on the tin, a good mixture of a variety of exercises and fitness techniques. From Boxing to Kettlebells, the fun is not knowing what is coming up next! A great calorie burner, with big smiles guaranteed!
Step Conditioning- A complete whole body workout to work the cardiovascular system & tone & shape. Easy to follow traditional step aerobics , kettles/resistance bands to help tone , shape and assist with weight reduction through building lean muscle. Available to members for £2.50 cost?
Jan's Pilates - This class helps to reduce strain on the joints, improves posture and strengthens core muscles. Find muscles you never knew you had & burn calories too! Available to members for £2.50 cost?/ £6 drop ins for non members.
Heather Thomas Pilates - Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise and body conditioning that works to increase awareness of your body and movement, to improve mobility, flexibility, strength, and balance, and includes breathing techniques for relaxation. Heather's knowledge of the human body's structure and function comes from her career as an osteopath working with people who have back, neck and joint pain, arthritic conditions, and sports injuries. Heather's classes are always kept to a low number to ensure that you have a tailored experience and to make the most out of every class that you attend. Classes are suitable for a range of fitness levels and are focused upon being mixed ability and inclusive £9 per session or £40 for 5 sessions/£65 for 10 sessions.
Brisa Pilates. Pilates mixed ability. A well rounded workout with the aim to strength, stretch and relax the body. £8 drop ins or £35 for 5 sessions.
Elisabeth Pilates Barre - This class is a combination of Pilates and Ballet based exercises, focusing on isometric strength (holding positions). This class helps to strengthen the pelvic floor, improve flexibility and increase bone density. £9 drop ins/ £40 for 5 sessions/£70 for 10 sessions/£7 drop ins for members.
Eve's Zumba- Join Eve for the ultimate fitness party! Zumba is a Latin music inspired fitness class, using the principles of interval training for a full body workout. Uplifting tunes and easy to follow moves. You'll sweat, burn calories and have so much fun! £5 drop ins.
Holly's Yoga- An hour-long open level vinyasa class to help you unwind, stretch and strengthen. We'll work with the breath and move through a flowing sequence that'll help you shake off the day and find some peace and quiet with lots of options and adaptations. Suitable for beginners and experienced yogis. £5 drop ins.
Josh's Capoeira- Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines dance, martial arts and acrobatics. Josh has been teaching for 10 years for children of all ages and adults. Classes are £6 drop in or monthly/termly costs.
Josh 's Meditation- Learn to expand and control your breath with yogic breathing techniques & meditation. Beginners are welcome! This class is perfect for swimming, running, yoga, stress, anxiety and high blood pressure. £7 drop ins or £25 for a 5 class pass. £4 for members!
Shilly's Belly Dance- Weekly Tribal Fusion Belly Dance classes for Beginner to Intermediate Level. Learn juicy serpentine movements in this contemporary style of Belly Dance that will help you to develop strength and flexibility and feel good about your body. All body types welcome! We'll be breaking down the basics of some classic moves and learning fun choreography to express our divine feminine essence. £8 drop ins. `
Traci's Meditation- A guided meditation to help improve the quality of our lives. Each class begins with a guided breathing meditation to help settle our minds and let go of any distractions. Everyone is welcome! £10 drop ins per class.
